On Nov 14, 2006, Oracle Corporation hosted World Usability Day in Bangalore with participation from other product and service companies, design houses, Indian design academia, usability professionals, and enthusiasts.

About 120 professionals from the fields of HCI, User Experience, Product Design and Technology attended the Oracle sponsored World Usability Day event in Bangalore.

There was an active participation from organizations like Microsoft, SAP, Yahoo, Infosys, Motorola, Adobe, Honeywell, Intuit, Sun Microsystem, Intel , GE Healthcare and Philips Design. Many academic institutes made their presence as well which includes, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, National Institute of Design, IIIT Bangalore etc.
